What is Up, Today I want to talk to you about the GoPro Hero 11 and more importantly how to set it up to capture the best and highest quality footage on this camera. So lets get into it.

These cameras have incredible capabilities when it comes to shooting video like shooting in 5k, high frame rates, and enhanced image stabilization to get incredibly smooth and stable footage without the need for a gimbal or anything extra. But you will want to dial in your settings and have them quickly accessible through their presets so its easy and quick to get good looking footage.

GoPros are powerful and handy but but they have their limitations, so it is important to know their limits to know how to get the best results out of these cameras. One of the biggest factors when it comes to shooting on a GoPro and getting good looking footage is having quality light. They do really well in bright sunny environments or anything with a lot of light. So just remember that as we get into these settings.

So I have wiped my GoPro of all of my video settings and I am going to dial in my settings with you here. So first is standard

I usually think of standard mode as my go -to every day point and shoot mode. And for this I like my settings to be ….

Next preset we have is activity and I usually use activity for something similar to standard but want some slow motion so I will set this up with all the same settings but 5k 60 this is great for capturing every day moments in slow motion and you can also possibly use this to get some wide angle looking cinematic shots.

Which leads us into the next setting with is Cinematic, I will set this up to have the highest quality and most range out of the camera while also trying to make the footage in this mode look the least like it came from a GoPro. So I will set it up with similar settings but 5k, 30 fps for a tiny bit of slow motion when editing on a 24fps timeline and jumping down to color mode I have it set on flat SO I can color grade it how I want to later. I set it to linear + horizon leveling.

Then we have Slo-Mo

This camera can shoot up to 240fps which is pretty awesome, I usually prefer to shoot 4k in 120fps I think the quality just looks way better and if I want to shoot it in 2.7k 240 fps I can easily switch it.

I have will also set up a POV Setting which I like to use when mounting the camera to a helmet or a chest mount. I set it in 4k 24 fps in superview mode. All other settings staying the same.

Then If you have a Max lens mod you have to set this setting up under the Max lens mode but I like to set this to to 2.7k 24 and horizon leveling and then I’ll make a slo motion one also in 60fps with horizon leveling.

Well that is it for my best gopro settings! Enjoy!
